Is there a place for Tech Services in Law-Lib?

I agree with Joe and Jim in not wanting to fragment our community even
more, and certainly not to create a list for Tech Services issues. I
have definitely asked my share of questions here, and gotten good
answers, although most of the responses generally are sent to me
personally and not to the list. That may be a difference in the way it
is used -- to make a gross generalization, public services/reference type
questions seem to be both asked and answered on Law-Lib. Tech services
type questions are asked here but answered privately.

This does all of us a disservice. I know that the recent discussion
about problems with CCH sent several of us scurrying around to see what
our own situations were. Questions about acquiring and cataloging the
increasingly complex material (looseleafs accompanied by software, for
example) really need input from the folks who use the material and/or
help patrons use it, in order for us to our job properly.

I'd like to see more of the "tech services issues because we work with
weird law stuff" here on Law-Lib.
