All attorneys and legal assistants have access to Westlaw (first choice)
and Lexis at their desks. Many use it because they can print dual column
format on laser printers this way (we are mostly VAX, moving to Novell
slowly). It makes no difference where people access the service, the more
they use it, the better at it they get! Some people still prefer to come
to the library and access Westlaw on the small pc with a tiny printer...go
figure. These services are viewed as one way to do research. If it's the
best way, so be it. If the books are the best way, we've got lots of them,
too!
