I think it is clear by now that we are all personally outraged at the cost of
the CD ROM for the states. Cindy has brought up a very good thing. My first
thought upon receiving their TERMS was to cut down our subscription to the
bare minimum. Fortunately, the attorneys agreed with me and have been very
cooperative. But why are we doing this? The publishers know that we can be
strong when we want to be. How did we get MB to start moving? (Not that
they've gone anywhere, but at least it's a start.) Let's get together and try
to do something to influence BNA as a group, the way we are strong. At least
the law librarians of this country should not be forced into purchasing such
an overpriced item against our better judgment. Any ideas?
