I wanted to inform you that we have filled our Senior Reference
Librarian position.
We are focusing now on our Assistant/Associate Director position. I will
repeat (from earlier law-lib message) a brief position description below
of this open position.
Assistant or Associate Director of the Law Library
Requirements: MLS (or equivalent) and JD; significant experience in an
academic law library. Supervises a Public Services department consisting
of a Senior Reference Librarian and two Reference Librarians, an Access
Services Librarian, a Computer Services/Systems Librarian, 2.5
Full-time support staff and 4.5 FTE student assistants. Significant
involvement in major computing projects. Participates in various forms
of teaching legal research. Works closely with Director on all major
projects including grant proposals, budget preparation, etc. Interacts
frequently with law faculty regarding faculty interest profiles,
computing, major projects, etc. Excellent management and supervisory
skills, and oral and written skills. Good problem solving skills.
