Does anyone know of a good, basic treatise on election or
political law, especially California law and even more
specifically, campaign contributions. CEB once published LAW OF
POLITICS:FEDERAL AND CALIFORNIA FAIR POLITICAL PRACTICES AND
ELECTION LAWS but it's out-of-print and out-of date. RLIN searches
haven't proven fruitful -- subject searches retrieve brief
pamphlets, legislation, or committee reports, and title searches
are pretty hopeless because of common word usage. Thanks for your
