A member of our computer services staff has asked me to assist him in
locating information on law firms and small business that use Windows
based word processing programs. We are looking especially for people who
have converted from Microsoft Word to WordPerfect for Windows or vice
versa. I think he's looking for war stories of the switch and why you
chose the one you did.
Secondly he is looking for information on market share information on
Microsoft Word as compared to WordPerfect for Windows. If not already in
a comparison format, then simple information that he can compare. The
emphasis has to be on impartial sources. (We have some info from Word and
WordPerfect as to why each is better.)
I am not in a reference position, but have been called in on this one as a
backup. Searches are being performed in LEXIS, but I know he will want
any stories of personal experiences. Any help that anyone can provide on
personal experience or great sources that might cover the area would be
greatly appreciated. Please respond to me directly at one of the
addresses listed below. If there is any interest from others, I will be
happy to summarize for the list after a week or so.
