Yes, there will be Baseball SIS activities in Seattle. Ed Edmonds,
Commissioner, is working on details for softball, for watching the
All-Star game, for touring Ebbett Field Flannels, and of course, for the
Kingdome expedition on Thursday 7/14. Note: there is an AALL excursion
that provides transportation and tickets on the 200 level; the SIS
expedition differs in the following ways:

        1. Pre-game gathering in a reserved room at the Kingdome, with
        trivia contest or ticket raffle.

        2. Pre-game buffet consisting of a "Take-me-out-to-the-ballgame"
        special: Hot Dogs, Baked Beans, Potato Salad, and Coleslaw;
complimentary coffee, tea or milk; one soft drink or beer; and Peanuts,
        Popcorn and Malts for Dessert.

        3. Reserved seats in the 100 (field-level) section.

        4. Transportation is not included. The Kingdome is a quick bus trip
(about 2 miles from the convention center area.)

We are mindful that this meal may not suit every attendee. But this IS
baseball food -- and there are commercial options on the main concourses
should one still be hungry. And the food is secondary to the comraderie!

The cost for the Baseball SIS Mariners' outing will be $29. Ed Edmonds
should be mailing out details soon. He can be reached by e-mail
(edmonds@music.loyno.edu), snail mail (Director of the Law Library at
Loyola of New Orleans) or phone 504-861-5543. Let's go M's!!!
