I am posting a question for Edgardo Rotman, our international law
librarian here at the University of Miami Law School Library.

He is interested in the prison treatment of dangerous offenders,
sentenced to long terms of imprisonment, in any So. American
country, that is, what treatment they receive, lengths of sentencing,
what special secuity and what special rehabilitative measures are taken.
Also, what is the proportion of long-term prisoners to the rest of
the prison population?

Any information you can give him will be most appreciated.
