Duplicate Messages

As you all know we have been having some problems with the mailing
list distribution. The list has gotten so large our hardware is no
longer able to handle it properly. Our mail program is failing in the
middle of its attempts at distributing messages to the list members.
When is restarts after the failure it starts the distribution all over
again. That is why you are getting duplicate messages.
We now have a new machine. It has only been running for about a week
and a half. I had not planned on moving the list over to it quite so
soon but at this point I figure that I have nothing to loose. I don't
anticipate there being any problems. I feel that it can only be an
improvement. From your perspective nothing changes regarding addressing.
Messages for distribution should still be sent to
<law-lib@ucdavis.edu> or <law-lib@ucdavis.bitnet>. Messages regarding
your subscription should still be sent to <law-lib-request@ucdavis.edu>
or <law-req@ucdavis.bitnet>.

Thank you for you patience during this transition. I hope
that from now the distribution will go smoothly.
