CLASS -- the Cooperative Library Agency for Systems and Services --
will hold a series of Introductory Internet Training Workshops, on the
following dates at the following locations:
March 24, Palo Alto, California
March 26, Palo Alto, California
April 22, Palo Alto, California
April 28, Los Angeles, California
May 12, Los Angeles, California
Two workshops will be held each day at each location, one in the
morning from 10am to 12:30, and the other in the afternoon from 1:30pm
until 4:00. Topics to be covered will include e-mail, file transfer
(ftp), and telnet (remote dial-in access to opacs and other Internet
resources), and techniques for training staff and users at your home
institutions. Terminals and ample time for hands-on work by attendees
will be provided. The guest presenter for these initial sessions will
be Jack Kessler (kesslerj@class.org, kessler@well.sf.ca.us).
The fee for these sessions will be $75 per person for CLASS members,
and $95 per person for non-CLASS members. To register, please complete
the attached form. Future sessions will be held in other cities. Please
also complete the form if you have an interest in attending these
future Internet workshops, or if you would like to receive general
information about CLASS services and programs.
