As one of the few law firm librarians using this board, I guess it is
my duty to respond to this question. I am using one of Datatrek's
modules for my serials control and I highly recommend their software.
They also market modules for circulation, acquisitions, etc. and now
they even have an OPAC. I have not seen the OPAC, but I assume it will
be high quality. Another law firm library in Cincinnati is using the
Assistant for serials control and seems to be satisfied (I don't know
anything about the status of Assistant's OPAC, but I assume they have
one).
The best thing to do is scan the vendors of PC based systems at AALL.
There should be quite a few more of them this year as more systems
are usable on the new large capacity PC's.
Happy Hunting!
