The University of San Diego does not buy casebooks except in very special
circumstances. We simply do not want to drain off acquisitions funds for
casebooks. Donated casebooks are accepted and one copy of all editions
is cataloged and retained. When the idea of weeding casebooks from the
collection was raised a few years ago, we found that many faculty members
wanted them retained. We did, however, dispense with all multiple copies.
