We used to have such a collection at the University of North Dakota, but
we got rid of it a couple years ago. We found that the faculty members
were using it as a place to dump their old casebooks and even some sample
books (presumably claiming a deduction for their 'donations'). We do not
have sufficient closed stack space to maintain a collection of up-to-date
casebooks, and even putting some of them on short term reserve does not
prevent them from being stolen.
