Casebook collections

We are reviewing our acquisitions and circulation policies on casebooks.
Currently there is a special Faculty Casebook collection in the faculty
library which includes casebooks and some texts in current use. While
these items are listed in our catalog, in fact access is restricted to
faculty (with exceptions made for persuasive cases).

I'd be interested in learning how other academic law libraries deal with
casebooks. Do you collect casebooks? Do you buy? Is access restricted?
What about use by the public? Do they circulate? Thanks for any
information you pass on.
