The Serials Coordinator, Beckie Brothers, here at Notre Dame Law Library,
has passed along the following information to me. Have others noticed
these problems or different ones? How thoroughly do you check for proper
holdings in microfiche sets?

Hein has been having some quality control problems with
their "Hein's Superseded State Statutes" microfiche service.
This is a sample of some of the problems I have encountered
within the last three months.

Vermont Statutes Annotated, t. 32, sect. 6501-end & t. 33 -
a 1989 Cumulative Suppl. was filmed, when the 1990 should
have been.

Maine Revised Statutes Annotated, v. 19 - a 1988 pocket part
was filmed when the 1991 should have been.

West's Florida Statutes Annotated, v. 2, 3, 4, 13B, 19A,
19B, 20, 25, 26, 26A, & 27 were all filmed. All of these
volumes are still current. Fortunately, none of the pocket
parts to these volumes were filmed.

Smith-Hurd Illinois Annotated Statutes, ch. 38, sec. 115-1
to 116 - there is a 1989 Supplement pamphlet that should
have been filmed but wasn't.

I have been sending our volumes to Hein so they can film
them. They have provided me with postage labels. I'm
assuming they will include these missing/replacement pieces
when they next update each state.
