For some time I have encouraged the university library here to get a
subscription to LEXIS/NEXIS so we would not have to constantly be telling
debate students and others that they could not use the Law Library sub-
scription. Now that there is interest on campus for a univ. subscription,
I discover that Mead Data is not extending new subscriptions to uni-
verities. If they resume university subscriptions, they will let us know.
I think this situation is interesting in light of recent discussions
on this list about LEXIS/NEXIS difficulties. Does anyone have any
information on why they have ceased university subscriptions?
