A construction project to expand and remodel the Texas Tech University Law
Library is scheduled to begin January 10, 1993, and a significant portion of
the project is a complete renovation of library staff offices and work areas.
This will require relocating staff members throughout the law school in every
available knook and cranny for most of the 1993 calendar year. I have begun
the planning process and would appreciate receiving lessons learned the hard
way by others about what departments should be kept together, what library
services can be given up (if any can be) during construction, etc.
We will also have to move all of the collection, though probably not all at
once. So, the new year promises many challenges for me and my staff!
