LAW REFERENCE LIBRARIAN-HALF TIME.
     Loyola University Law Library seeks a Reference Librarian to
work 18 3/4 hours per week. The person will work 2 or 3 evenings,
including Wednesday or Sunday evenings until 11:00 p.m. In addition
to reference work, the person will help teach classes in basic legal
research to first year law students, prepare bibliographies for faculty,
and assist with other Public Service functions. The Reference Desk is
very busy with patron and telephone questions.
     A Juris Doctor is required. A Masters in Library Science and/or
significant experience in a law library especially with LEXIS,
WESTLAW and other on-line databases is highly desirable. The person
should be service oriented and work well with a closely knit staff.
     Loyola University Law School operates both a day and evening
division with a faculty of 33 plus adjuncts and a student body of more
than 750 students. A Masters program in Health Law is offered. The
Law Library is the resource for a Paralegal program.
     The Reference Librarian will join a staff of 9 librarians (7 with
law degrees), 9 full-time paraprofessionals and substantial part-time
and student help. The salary is competitive.
