Position Available: Manager, Alabama Lawyers Research Service
University of Alabama Law Library
The University of Alabama Law Library seeks a manager for a new
research service, which will provide legal and non-legal research services
to attorneys in the State of Alabama. The position is part-time (20 hours
per week). The individual will assist the Director and Associate Director
with setting up the program, hiring law students to serve as research
assistants, and marketing the program throughout the State.
Experience: Substantial experience with legal research, both
computerized and print legal resources; knowledge of law firm practices;
managerial and supervisory experiences. Education: Master's degree in
Library Science or Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited
school, OR Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited school.
