The Florida Department of Motor Vehicles does have a database on=20
Compuserve. You can retrieve license, tag and vehicle information. The=20
only catch is that you have to set up a deposit account with the Florida=20
Department of Motor Vehicles before you are allowed to access. =20
Otherwise, the cost is minimal (approximately $60/hour). The DMV also=20
issues quarterly microfiche with all the registrations that include=20
necessary information such as birth dates, etc. We buy these about twice=
=20
a year (approximately $250/set) to complement the service. =20

The service is not terribly sophisticated compared to Westlaw, but is=20
functional and definitely serves its purpose. Let me know if you need=20
more information.
