I am trying to get some information about the percentage of law firms
that have Macs. I seem to remember reading that it was only around 10%.
When I go to the ABA Locate book, precious little of the software
seems to be issued in a Mac version.
So--
1) Does anyone have further info about this topic in general?
2) I realize this audience skews the question because it involves
primarily firms large enough to have a librarian. Do you know
whether smaller firms might be more likely to have Macs?
3) I heard that in some parts of CA, especially San Francisco, this
percentage is turned around (10% IBM, 90% Mac). Could this
possibly be true, I asked myself? (And now ask you.)
4) Do you have any stories about compatability problems for attys.
who have Macs at home when the office is IBM?
5) If yours is a Mac office, have you had trouble getting software
to meet your needs?
I much appreciate any information. Send to me privately and I will
summarize for the list.
Gracias,
