Hi. I hope someone can help me out. Perhaps some of the New York
City librarians might be especially helpful on this one. Is anyone
aware of a relatively new (say 5 years or so ago) library/museum
specializing in the history of television which opened in New York?
I haven't found it listed in the American Library Directory. If
someone knows anything about it, could you EMAIL me. Thanks. Oh,
one clue (and I can't vouch for the veracity of this) is that
Woody Allen's sister supposedly works there. Does that make it
easier? Thanks in advance.

The Museum of Television and Radio is a major institution
here in New York. It changed its name a year or two ago
from the Museum of Broadcasting to reflect new satellite and
cable transmission technologies. At the same time, it
moved to new, expanded quarters. The Museum's address and
          phone are:

                         Museum of Television and Radio
                         25 West 52nd Street
                         New York, NY 10019

                         Ph: (212) 621-6600

The NY Times ran a wonderful profile of the Museum: "Couch
Potatoes, Arise! A Temple of TV Awaits You," by Elizabeth
          Kolbert, April 9, 1993, Section C, Page 1, Column 1.
