There will be plenty of activities of interest to law-lib readers at the AALS
meeting in Orlando, January 6-9, 1994. As the time is running short, and the
official registration mailing has not yet gone out, I thought a brief summary
of these activities might be helpful to assist people in making their travel
plans.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 6

AALS Committee on Libraries' Workshop for Deans and Law Library Directors --
9 AM -- Noon.
"Common Concerns: Assessing Library Quality; Coping with Copyright"

AALS Section on Libraries Business Meeting -- Noon -- 1 PM
Submit proposed agenda items to me at address below.

CCALI lunch/meeting -- 12:30 -- 2:30 PM
Note: as of today, this has not been confirmed. I am in touch with the
CCALI people and they are aware of the business meeting overlap. They
said that it would be OK if people arrived at their meeting a bit late,
     after the business meeting concludes.

RLG Law Libraries -- 2:30 -- 4:30 PM

FRIDAY, JANUARY 7

AALS Section on Law Libraries program (jointly sponsored with the Section of
Writing, Reasoning and Research) -- 3:30 -- 5:15 PM.
"The MacCrate Report: Probable Impact on Research, Writing, Skills and
     Academic Instruction"

SUNDAY, JANUARY 9

AALS Section on Law Libraries Program for New Directors of Law Libraries --
8:30 -- 10:30 AM.
