Hi All-
I know I'm dreaming here, but wouldn't it be possible for AALL/AALS/ABA
or whoever, to develope standards for the publishers of law reviews,
and other periodicals, to incorporate journal name, volume and
number information into barcodes published directly on the journal?
It would seem to me that some standard could be set up so that all
our serials people would have to do would be to wand a journal's
barcode and all the info would be in place on a serials system. No
typing of info., no moving and searching through the database to
find the correct journal record.
The time saving seems like it would be well worth the development.
Like I said, I'm probably dreaming.
