I have been assured by Ms Hanrahan of the ABA Consultant's office that the
salaries of law librarians described in Profile I of the new ABA
Questionnaire will later be aggregated with librarians described in Profile
III. Consequently, when take-offs of library data are subsequently
prepared, the total, mean, and medians for all librarians in each school
will be accuately captured.
Please note however, (as I did not) that the basis of reporting a librarians
salary on Profile I (line 15) is 9/11's of annual salary. In order to make
this figure comparable with the annual salary of librarians reported in
Profile III, 2/11's of that individuals salary must be added
somewhere. Profile I, Line 17 provides the place to add that figure.
Similarly, Since fringe benefits are also reported on a 9/11's basis on Line
16 of Profile I, the librarian's extra fringes must be recaptured on Line
18.
