We have just had a preservation report done for the Law Library. Among the
recommendations was that we have an extremely thorough cleaning done, using
HEPA vacuums and special magnetic dust cloths. Our Physical Plant folks advise
me that we should contract the work out because they are not staffed or equip-
ped to perform this type of "deep cleaning", particularly in the short time
frame between semesters. My question is, have any of you had any experience
with firms that do this kind of specialized cleaning? I need as much info
as I can get, including names, addresses, phone numbers, prices, and anecdotes.
