Just a side note to a question posted earlier on the list....
In today's JAMA (ie, 272 JAMA 1535), there's a report from
the AMA Council on Scientific Affairs entitled "Helmets and
Preventing Motorcycle- and Bicycle-Related Injuries." The
report includes recommendations to the AMA on this topic,
including "that the AMA prepare model state legislation for
the mandatory use of helmets while motorcycling." It might
be interesting to see if the AMA follows through with this.
