1995 NATIONAL LEGAL RESEARCH TEACH-IN
Planning is currently underway for the 1995 Teach-in sponsored by the
AALL Research Instruction Caucus. Each year the Teach-in Committee
creates a set of materials that can be used to design training programs
and events in your own institutions. This year we have tried to select
topics that will be both interesting and practical to a wide spectrum of
the legal community. We hope you agree! The 1995 Teach-In topics include:
Human Rights
Securities Regulation
Training Materials for Networked Systems
Using Internet for Legal Research
Of course, the real success of this program is the quality and
variety of the materials that are included in each kit. That is where
YOU come in!! Won't you please take a few minutes to send us any
relevant materials that you have or would like to create on these
topics? Handouts, exercises, lecture notes, lesson plans, outlines,
pathfinders, research guides, and descriptions of past training events
are but a few examples of the items that would be invaluable to our
fellow librarians.
We are also collecting stories from those of you who sponsored
legal research training events in 1994. If you held an event last year,
and have not responded to our previous inquiries, you may still do so!
Your responses will enable us to create "user-friendly" kits for 1995.
Materials, questions, or suggestions may be forwarded to either
of the co-chairpersons listed below.
Thank you all for the enthusiasm and support that you have shown
for this worthwhile project!
Gail
