Several people have asked if I ever managed to download the Berring
article on vendor neutral citations; I'm glad I'm not the only one who
had problems!
I have to apologize because I cannot seem to locate my copy of Mr.
Berring's original posting with WWW and FTP addresses. Some kind soul
responded to my original call for help by suggesting I download the web
version of the document. All you need to do is get to the web server
and click/select the document. It will ask you your e-mail address and
you end up mailing the article to yourself. The footnotes get lost along
the way, but the article itself is intact.
