I truly don't understand why people have such a problem
with the Nov. 6 resolution . It's pretty much plain vanilla.
Part 1, is a statement that West isn't even against (that's my
understanding from a speech that Vance Opperman made in Chicago
last month), since it says "permits" and not "requires."
Part 2 only restates a portion of the AALL Government Relations
Policy. Let's get on with more substantial matters.
Like song lyrics.
"They call it instant justice, when it's past the legal limit."

p.s. Oh, full disclosure: Opperman spoke at a lunch for librarians
that West paid for, at a very nice restaurant. And I've seen
Costello perform live twice.
West did not pay my way to either concert.
