Red herrings not withstanding, all the private and some of the public
responses to my remark have been supportive of what I said. People have
strong opinions about this topic and are probably afraid of being
villified in an international venue if they express them. Members are not
in unity on this issue and feel that this is one the Board, elected or
not, should not have taken such a final and very public stand on. We
don't take everything our elected government officials dish out either,
nor should we.
