Quite a number of persons have expressed irritation over the tone of the
posts on this list regarding the public domain citation question, yet
clearly it is a topic of importance. I wonder if people could identify
issues of fact that they believe are important, and furthermore if there
could be any agreement upon how one might investigate and resolve
controversies over those important facts? Of, will this debate resemble
a political debate, with charges and counter charges, without any
abitrator or method of establishing truth or falsehood?
