Colleagues,
On November 5, I posted the job listing for Associate Law Librarian at
Puget Sound. On November 8, coming as a complete surprize to us was
the announcement that the Law School had been sold, effective Fall
1994, to Seattle University, a Jesuit school in downtown Seattle.
Articles are, of course, availonline for details. Suffice to say that
this will be a very exciting time to be Associate Law Librarian at
UPS/SU. A transition period of five years is planned and during that
time, there will transitions of all law school procedures,
coordination of planning and implementation of technology, and helping
to plan a new building.

POSITION: ASSOCIATE LAW LIBRARIAN
REQUIREMENTS: JD from an ABA-accredited law school; Masters degree in
library science or information systems; three years of experience in
an academic law library or legal research setting, with evidence of
management experience and supervisory skills. Must be able to work
cooperatively with diverse constituencies, and as part of a team.
Problem-solving skills and working knowledge of current information
technology, including telecommunications or imaging, preferred.
Salary and benefits competitive. Position available 3 JANUARY 1994.
