Mr. Germano:
I appreciate your diligent efforts to clear up the "rumours floating
around out there" regarding cut backs in Lexis Associates at law
schools around the country. I am in total agreement with you with
regard to the valuable service Lexis Associates provide to us.
However, please be advised that the two Lexis Associates at the
University of Oregon Law School were laid-off as of November 12th.
Our LAs were informed that they would be laid-off until January 1 and
that this was true of all LAs at law schools in the northwest. We
have also been without a Lexis Account Executive for almost the
entire semester. This is the real story and not a rumor.
