Menuing standards - another try

As we have been trying to say for the last few days -
we are currently developing the menu structure for the
user interface to our Novell network . We wish to include
access points to our CD-ROMS, electronic databases, ILMS
(DYNIX), online services and gateways. We feel there
should be standards for the way the databases are described
(i.e. catalogued) and the way the menus are structured (i.e.
classified). We are concerned that we may have missed
something in our search of the literature and would
welcome information from anyone who is aware of standards which may have been established.
We would also welcome advice as to why we keep losing
our messages if this one finally makes it !
Many thanks to Hugh Malcolm in Canberra for his suggestion.
As is obvious we are a new conference participant -
Law Courts Library, Sydney, Australia.

Thanks for perservering with this message. Lynn Pollack
