Vienna, 21 - 25 August 1995
organized by: Austrian Computer Society, Austrian Ministry for
Science, Research and Arts, Austrian National Commission
for UNESCO, TermNet, Vienna University of Technology.
In cooperation with ACM (SIGCAS).
The preliminary program is now available via WWW
http://www.wsr.ac.at/ocg/knori.html
or as text-file by anonymous ftp from
wsrcom.wsr.ac.at/pub/ocg/knori.txt
AIMS:
information and communication technology increasingly allow
fast easy and cheap copying, reproduction, modification and
distribution of information which is traditionally protected
by copyright, patents and related intellectual property
rights. But today's law is not able to cover sufficiently
problems caused by the fast technological development. These
problems are really international ones.
As scientific discussions about these problems become more and
more urgent for lawyers, authors and computer experts, the
Austrian Computer Society and some other institutions organize
the 1st KnowRight conference.
Within the four-day-conference, more than 50 papers will be
presented by international experts. In addition keynote
speakers and invited speakers will focus on various aspects of
intellectual property rights.
