Well, people have coined terms before, and they are sometimes amusing,
which is not to say that they have might not have other effects on the
reader/listener.
Just want to point out that not all users see LEXIS and WESTLAW as
"two nearly-identical systems". Try looking at them in terms of
foreign and international law-related materials, news, business, and
other non-legal information held. From that angle, they look
different to me! I could point out others, but let's just say that I
enjoy the fact that there are at least two different legal databases
that contain information that I need to use for my work.
