The members of the Recruitment Committee are pleased to invite you to
its annual Chapter Liaison Roundtable on Recruitment to be celebrated in
Pittsburgh a AALL Annual Meeting on Saturday, July 15, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
The theme of the program is "Cultural Diversity in Law Libraries: Past, Present
and Future". This program will examine the trajectory of ethnic minorities in
law librarianship, as well as what library schools, law schools and AALL are
doing to provide opportunities to ethnic minorities and what still needs to be
done.
As guest speakers, we will have with us Dr. Yvonne Chandler, Assistant
Professor at University of North Texas, School of Library and Information
Studies; Helena Lai, Reference and International Law Librarian at City
University of New York and Arturo Lopez Torres, Director of Gonzaga University
School of Law Library. This will be an excellent opportuniy for attendees to
share recruitment ideas with each other and members of the AALL Recruitment
Committee.
