When you do the budget figures, you are assuming no change in the numbers
of subscribers or members. I question that assumption. Is the profession
growing or shrinking?
What about all those small, single person libraries with small budgets
and low pay who use membership as a vehicle to get the llj but cannot
participate in other activities for whatever reason? I suspect increases
will reduce numbers, both of members and of subscriptions and think some
percentage estimated loss should be factored into the budget.
