One very good study was conducted by Sharyn Ladman and Hope
Tillman, on "Special Librarians' Use of the Internet." The
article is available by anonymous ftp from hydra.uwo.ca,
directory /libsoft, file spec-libs.txt. Ladman and Tillman
verified that e-mail is the most widely used Internet application
among special librarians.
