Thanks for the elaboration. My impression, based on comments from some of
our alumni and local law firm librarians, is that use of CALR by clerks and
associates is tightly controlled by the firms for all the reasons you
mentioned. What I do not know is whether there has been an actual decline in
use driven by the recession or some other factor.
