I was previously involved with Infotrac here at Georgetown. I strongly
pushed for leasing primarily because it includes replacement of any bad
components as well as updates of equipment as that becomes necessary. On a
strictly dollar basis owning equipment could be cheaper, however when
problems develop one could find oneself in a 'loop' - i.e the equipment
supplier 'blames' Infotrac and Infotrac 'blames' your equipment. I think a
lot of headaches can be avoided with the lease package and, if one figures in
the equipment updating, it might actually be cost-effective also.
