Re: CCH Shipment Delays (fwd)

     LOL!
I had a similar problem: I requested missing pages for CCH's
Blue Sky Reporter through the CCH Philadelphia office, and was
sent only part of what I needed. The Philadelphia office
suggested I call the 800 number in Chicago, which I did; the
result was a reshipment of the same pages I had previously
received, with the missing pages still missing. I then put in
another call; this time I received a complete new set of the Blue
Sky Reporter.
At that point, I figured, what the heck, kept the new set,
and dumped my old binders (they were beginning to look a little
worn, anyway). Then I started receiving two sets of updates, and
got an invoice for the second subscription. At that point, I
called my local CCH rep, and told her (a) I would not return the
new binders, (b) I would not pay the new subscription invoice,
and (c) I wanted the second subscription stopped.
Three months later I was still receiving two sets of
updates, one of which I promptly tossed/recycled. Eventually, CCH
got the idea, stopped the second set, and stopped billing me for
the second subscription.
Bottom line: if CCH is stupid enough to send out unwanted
sets of binders, just make sure they are not billing you for the
unwanted subscriptions as well. If they want the binders back,
let them send you a postage-paid shipping label. (BTW, I would
write to their head office, stating that you did not order the
sets, that you do not want the additional subscriptions, and that
all invoices will be tossed. Nothing like putting it in writing
to get their attention.)
