The UNM Law Library's Promotion and Tenure Document is
currently being revised, and I would appreciate receiving any
similar documents from law libraries whose librarians have
faculty status. At UNM Law Library, librarians are members of
the Law School Library faculty which consists of three
librarians. There are ranks of Assistant Professor, Associate
Professor, and Professor and these are tenure track positions.
The Library Director has a tenure track position on the Law
School faculty. If librarians at your library are not considered
faculty, I would still like to hear from you in regard to what
classification system is used for librarians, if librarians
receive contracts on a year-to-year basis or longer term, or any
other information regarding the employment status of your
librarians you are willing to share. All responses will be
appreciated. Thank you.
