We are hoping to gain access to Lexis and are interested in average usage - par
ticularly by Universities outside the USA.
Figures or information about connect hours, whether you make the
service available to academics only or also to students and if so, what the
difference is in their utilisation, would be very useful.
Any information around the areas of the system most heavily used
would also be interesting.
Any information or comments about pro's and con's of the system for Internation
al users would be very useful indeed.
Part of our reason for wanting to know relates to costing, as we will probably
need to fund-raise specifically for this purpose.
We are hoping to be able to access the system via Internet - and any comments o
n this avenue of communication for online searching would also be appreciated.
Comments for LEXIS users in the UK and USA would still be very interesting if y
ou would be prepared to comment too.
If anyone has similar information for use of WESTLAW, this would also be very i
nteresting.
