Brief Summary on Library Video Tours

Several law libraries responded to my question about library tours
on videotape. The consensus was that Emory Law Library prepared an
excellent library orientation video called "Just Ask." It was made
about four years ago and runs for about 15 minutes. I haven't seen
it yet, but will be receiving a copy in the near future.
Syracuse University's Barclay Law Library developed a 35-minute
audiotape tour of the library for incoming law students. The staff
is in the process of updating the tape to incorporate changes made
due to addition of new services, relocation of staff and materials,
etc. For more information on the preparation of the audiotape, contact
Wendy Scott, Head of Public Services at WESCOTT@SUADMIN.
I will be talking to several staff members in our Media Center
and related departments that can provide assistance with this project.
However, the actual production of a video tour of the Underwood Law
Library will have to wait until after the installation of new carpet
and rearrangement of materials is completed, hopefully by mid-Summer.
Thanks to everyone who responded to my questions.
