This half day program has been planned by the Law Continuing
Education Task Force to begin to acquaint law and non-law
librarians with the intricacies of New York City legal research.
The session will cover how ordinances are promulgated by the City,
the creation and use of legislative history, use of the New York
City charter and administrative code, access to public records in
public libraries, the Municipal Reference and Research Library, and
city agencies, and sources for historical research such as death
records and task force reports.
