We are trying to determine what the normal period is for maintaining backup
tapes for a major computer system. Also, what effect would the upgrading of
the system have on the determination of holding on to tapes for security and/or
archive purposes? Our online system vendor is suggesting that we should have
an archive tape done yearly and then a monthly backup, a total of 13 tapes.44444
