Thank you to all who responded to my plea for help regarding the NJ bill
histories & federal consent decrees.
For the curious... (A) The New Jersey State Library will retrieve, FedEx and
invoice you for the work. (B) I had several great ideas in terms of finding
out about the consent decree. Searching some of the relevant libraries
in Lexis (TRADE;CNSENT & TRADE;DOJDEC & searching the Federal Register);
looking through the CCH Federal Trade Reporter for the appropriate years;
a Nexis search to see if there was any mention of the topic and/or the
name of the decision/ocnsent decree/etc. When none of these worked, I
got an okay from the attorney to call one of the parties, and found out
that a final decree or decision was never reached because there was a
settlement. So, end of search - but I did learn a lot.
