[Please excuse cross-posts]

Dear Colleagues,
I am seeking volunteers for the AALL Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh,
specifically for the Function Coordination Committee (of which I am
chair). Many of you have generously volunteered for various convention
activities, and we on the Local Arrangements Committee are very
appreciative; those who have previously volunteered will be hearing from
us directly. My appeal at this point is a bit more over-and-above.
Function coordinators are the people with the walkie-talkies who
check out meeting rooms to ensure all is as it is supposed to be in the
room before the session starts. The job is really a full-time
responsibility during the convention, starting on the Thursday before the
convention and running until the end of the last day (Wednesday). The
Western Pennsylvania Law Library Association is relatively small, and our
members are well-occupied with other convention arrangements, hence this
request. The large time commitment may make it difficult for
non-Pittsburghers; however, I do have a carrot to offer: Function
coordinators get one of the following - either free hotel for the Meeting
OR complimentary registration. Other benefits include the satisfaction
of service to our profession and the gaining of new insights into what it
takes to put on a successful national-level convention. Not to mention
that it could be a good time (and you get a cool baseball cap).
So, anyone crazy enough to consider volunteering for this, please
Email me directly at: falk@duq2.cc.duq.edu

Thank you for your attention, and hope to see (at least some of) you in
Iron City this summer-
